These days have me battling depression. The virus that is spreading around the globe has thrown me into a state of depression. I have battled depression as long as I can remember. I have done a great job defeating it in the past and shall do so again.
Saturday afternoon, I was relaxing at home practising “social distancing” in my beautiful suite when I decided to listen to one of my house music playlists on the speaker system.
I tuned out the gloom and doom news and just sat back and enjoyed some wonderful music. Garage, deep, gospel, and soulful house provided some much-needed relaxation and inspiration to me.
Unlike many forms of popular music, I find house music is timeless. A great song remains so seemingly forever. There are songs I first heard when I was in high school that I still listen to today and never grow tired of.
Here are two songs which provided peace and tranquility to me while I laid back and tried to relax amid the turmoil:
Grateful by Kenny Bobien (vocals) and Dennis Ferrer
Music Heals My Soul by Georgia Cee (vocals) and Mikki Afflick
